David’s bio

Growing up as 1 of 4 Maori adopted half-caste children in a privileged Jewish/Scottish multi-cultural family in New Zealand certainly had its challenges and moments.

Our parents wanted to show us the diversity in life and all it has to offer. It was important to them that we see that there are many pathways of opportunities, choices and open doors to walk through. A crazy amount off our childhood was spent discovering, exploring and living in different types of communities and cultures such a Hippy farms, Hare Krishna Camps, Communes, Scottish Culture, Jewish Ceremonies, Maori Way of Life, Buddha Communities, Pacific Island Communities, Bahai Life, Yoga Transcendental Retreats, Religious sectors, Intellectually Handicap Community, Sailing around the costal lines of New Zealand, Rock and Hippy Festivals, we even lived in the wilderness for 3 months, just to mention a few. The belief that everything is possible was embedded deep within us.

Our parents taught us about the power and passion of reaching out to others and helping those in need. My fondest memories were traveling around with my family performing on many different stages supporting local communities and cultural diversities. This passion has become an intricate part of my life. The power of reaching out has been the guiding light throughout my life.

In New Zealand I trained to be a Teacher in Music, English and Sports. I furthered my Education and completed an additional Diploma in Sports and Fitness. Opportunities opened new horizons for me in England where I specialized in Communication and Motivation Psychology. In addition to that I also studied to be a TEFL Trainer (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) so I could work, travel and explore Europe.

Germany opened up new horizons to the further my Education in Germanistics, NLP – Natural Language Processing, Strategic Life Coaching, Strengthabilty Coaching and People and Culture Management.

In 1998 I secured a position at Airbus, Germany and thus began my career that took me onto a journey around Europe. In 1999 while working at Airbus I founded my own communication company C12K in Hamburg, Germany.

I have had the fortunate experience to work with amazing people and clients in Germany, New Zealand, England, Spain, France, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Poland.

I have always believed in myself, and I have opened hundreds of doors to be where I am today. I am extremely proud of myself, my achievements and very grateful to those who have influenced, supported and guided me in all my journeys.
